What is PaidFinch?
PaidFinch is invoicing software for small service businesses: roofers, designers, consultants, and anyone else who bills by the hour, by retainer, or every month. Sending an invoice takes a couple of minutes, clients pay online from any phone, and reminders do the chasing.
What does it do?
- Retainers that draw down. Clients prepay a balance, tracked time draws it down, and they can see every draw on their own statement page.
- Time tracking to invoice. Start a timer or log hours on a calendar, then turn unbilled time into an invoice line by line, grouped, or as one total.
- Recurring invoices and auto-pay. Bill the same client every month and optionally charge their saved card on the due date.
- Payment plans. Deposit and balance, equal installments, or custom milestones, each with its own due date and reminders.
- Proposals that become invoices. The client accepts online, pays a deposit if asked, and the invoice is ready.
- More than one business. Run several businesses from one sign in, each with its own branding, numbering, clients, and Stripe account.
How does it handle money?
Each business connects its own Stripe account. When a client pays an invoice online, Stripe pays the business directly on its usual payout schedule. PaidFinch never holds client money. Invoicing is free, with a small published fee only on payments made online.
Why it matters for clients
PaidFinch is a full billing product built end to end by Total BS: payments, scheduled jobs, email, and a public marketing site. The same patterns apply to customer portals and internal tools for small businesses. See custom software development.
